When we backed out of the garage at 5:10 a.m., it was 32 degrees and snowing. We took the Coach USA bus to O’Hare. The terminal was packed like we had never seen it in our 50 years of traveling in and out of O’Hare. We were probably the oldest Spring Breakers there. Somehow, we couldn’t even find coffee. I usually have coffee within 5 minutes of my feet hitting the floor in the morning. The plane had quite a bit of turbulence so when I finally got a cup of coffee at 11:30 am, it was sloshing from one side of the cup to the other, but I did not waste a drop! Otherwise the trip was uneventful —the best kind.
We have had our orientation. Met our guide, Andrea, and the other 22 travelers. Enjoyed a nice walk (probably 70+ degrees) to dinner and delicious cuisine. I had a huge avocado half filled with shrimp. Chuck had shredded beef with black beans and rice. Flan for dessert. Tasty!
Just wanted to let you know that we had landed. Time to get organized for tomorrow.
We are glad that you two are settling in and had good travel.
ReplyDeleteThe the lack of coffee sounded like an inconvenience, maybe even more so for CA. We will be following you daily.
